What is Custom Photography?
In the words of a fellow photographer credited below, what custom photography ultimately is all about is choice and experience (as in THE experience). Custom photography is about finding someone who will photograph your family, give you devoted 1:1 attention without worry of the next ‘in line’ or the feeling of a crowded portrait studio. A custom photographer will typically show you a fairly extensive gallery culled to only show the good images that meet the photographers’ creative sensibilities. Often the images are fully edited images-color corrected with blemishes and undereye circles removed. Custom photographers are also known as boutique studios, offering a range of products and unparalleled service. Think Lexus vs. Hyundai, think Nordstrom vs. WalMart.

Custom photography should have you, the client and your experience in mind. You should choose a custom photographer that also represents the style that closest represents your style.

Our Style
You will find that at Pink Gnome Foto, Holly McCaig approaches her photography sessions in a journalistic style, capturing the true personalities of you and your loved ones - telling your story. She describes it as "Life Captured". All portrait sessions with Holly of Pink Gnome Foto are hosted on location with you. There is no studio work here. This coincides with capturing the true spirit and personalities of you and your loved ones. Your images will be timeless memories that you'll want to look at again and again as beautiful wall and desk prints.

Pink Gnome Foto is available for travel outside of this area including Springfield, Columbia and Kansas City, Missouri as well as Illinois. Please inquire about rates for travel outside of our normal service area - consider hosting a group portrait event with your friends and family. We enjoy covering charity events and parties as well as your smaller weddings.
